Still We Rise
Thanks to the generous support of
Wells Fargo Bank, SAVE THE DATE is on the move. Starting
now, we move one step closer to our goal of bringing
our unique branded content to the entire state of
California. From there, we know the possibilities
are endless. As we look ahead, we not only thank Wells
Fargo for their support of us, but for their generous
support of small businesses, non-profits, and social
service agencies across the country. Many thanks to
all the men and women who have made this partnership
possible. Bless you.
While opportunities are great, they
can also be exhausting. As a result, I hope to use
this summer to really take stock. I also want to make
sure that I take notice as well. As residents of California,
we are surrounded by the full range of earth's natural
beauty. As much as possible, I want to adhere to that
old adage which reminds us to stop and smell the roses.
Hopefully, most of you will join me in taking time
to relax, taking time to travel, and taking time to
try something new. I know I'm overdue.
Our cover feature for this issue
is the great American storyteller, August Wilson.
As a writer who has given so much to us, and to the
nation, I wanted to do my part to give a little back
in return. While we are pleased to promote his latest
show at the Taper, I am most honored to applaud the
playwright himself. After ten shows that have chronicled
the African American journey in the 20th century,
what better person to showcase other than the greatest
living playwright of our time. Happy trails everybody.
Blessings,
Sarah
