Educate LA will host a Funders Forum Supplemental workshop entitled, "Business Development in a Nutshell", featuring Karen A. Clark, National Multicultural Marketing Manager for U. S. Bank. Karen's career includes more than 20 years in banking and financial services, having worked for both Bank of America and Wells Fargo Bank. Most recently before U.S. Bank, Karen was the Chief of Development for Operation Hope from 2001 - 2005, where she was very successful in developing and cultivating relationships with corporate and foundation partners. During Karen's tenure with Operation Hope, she helped raised their annual fundraising efforts from $2 million to nearly $7 million per year. This "Business Development in a Nutshell" workshop will outline the methods and tools Karen employed including the key to relationship building, opening doors with strong cover letters, highlighting ideas instead of budget, passion marketing and more.
