SBA’s First Annual Faith-Based Financing Summit

The U.S. Small Business Administration, Santa Ana District Office, is teaming up with its first faith-based Certified Development Company lender in the country, AmPac Tri State CDC, along with the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center and the City of Ontario, to host a Faith-Based SBA Financing Summit. The purpose of the event is to target for-profit business owners involved in the faith-based community and expose them to the resources and services of the U.S. Small Business Administration. The summit will also provide information for non-profit organizations seeking to provide an array of services to the community, including churches and other faith-based entities. Among the topics that will be covered during the summit for for-profit businesses include ABC’s of Starting A Business, Access to Capital, Growing Your Business in a Tight Credit Market. For non-profits, the summit will cover Funding a Capital Expansion for Churches; Non-Profit Advertising, and How to Develop Partnerships. Following the workshops, there will be a dynamic luncheon keynote speaker who will discuss Business Ethics in a High Tech World. The speaker, Dr. Jeff Decker, is a renowned professor from Biola University Graduate School of Organization and Development. The cost for the summit will be $25, which will include a continental breakfast, lunch and a wealth of information from the Small Business Development Centers, SBA organization of retired executives, SCORE, the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center, and countless other partners seeking to provide valuable information to the faith-based community.
