“Ben Ingram vs. the State of Mississippi”

Human Rights Advocacy and the Ida B. Wells Institute will sponsor the World Premiere screening of “Ben Ingram vs. the State of Mississippi,” the story of a Black man who was acquitted of the murder of his white neighbor by an all-White Mississippi jury in the early 20th century, during the 18th Annual Pan African Film Festival, on Sunday, Feb. 14, 1 p.m., at the Culver Plaza Theatres, 9919 W. Washington Blvd., Culver City. There will be a Q-and-A with the director and some cast members immediately following the screening. Tickets for this event are $10 and can be purchased at the box office.
